Our tours

Berlin’s history can be divided into six periods. From each of these periods traces can be found in the urban landscape. Some are hard to find, most of them are not. In two of these periods Berlin entered the history of the world: The Third Reich and The Wall. Two historic events that shaped the world as we know it today. That is what makes Berlin a fascinating city.

The other periods are the medieval, the Prussian, 1870-1945 (when Berlin was the capital of Germany) and the post-wall period that goes right into the present and foreshadows future developments.

Some periods overlap eachother.

An introductory tour to Berlin leads you along all the highlights like the Lustgarten, the Museum Insel and the Brandenburger Tor.

We can also dive deeper. a Third Reich and World War two tour, showing what is still visible or now is covered by rubble.

The Wall and the DDR with stories about uprisings, the cold war, the wall and people who tried to escape.

Berlin is also the city with a big street art community and graffiti painters. It has a rich punk and squatters history.

Please get in touch through the form below and let us know what kind of (bicycle or walking) tour you are interested in. We can also discuss the rates. Of course it is possible to book a tour on which we both will be your guide, but standard procedure is that Jason (walks) or Rinus (cycle) will do the tour.

On this site you find a selection of podcasts we did for Radio On Berlin. Jason is from the US, Rinus is from the Netherlands. This explains the different accents.
