“If you’re looking for a guide in Berlin, I can’t recommend Jason highly enough. He speaks both German and English fluently and has an incredible depth of knowledge. Whether you’re someone who wants a broad overview of the city’s history or a professional historian looking for detailed context, Jason is able to tailor the experience to an exceptional level.

We joined his tour about the Battle of Berlin during the final days of World War II, when the Soviet forces entered the city. Rather than simply talking about the events, Jason took us directly into the neighborhoods where the fighting took place. He pointed out places where traces of the battle can still be seen today, explained where soldiers positioned themselves strategically, and described where fighters hid as the battle unfolded.

The moment that has stayed with me every day since the tour was when Jason told us about a group of German soldiers who sought refuge in a cemetery to regroup and rest. After Soviet forces discovered their location, the cemetery was shelled. As Jason shared this story, we were standing at the grave of ten unknown soldiers who lost their lives there. It was an incredibly moving experience that brought history into sharp focus in a way no book or museum ever has.

Jason doesn’t just share historical facts—he makes history feel real, personal, and unforgettable. If you have any interest in Berlin’s history, especially the events surrounding the end of World War II, his tour is an experience you won’t forget.”

“I took the tour with Jason through my neighbourhoods of Kreuzberg and Neukölln, where he explained in detail with revernece and humor what would have been happening in these same locations during the tumultuous Spring in 1945. Despite reading about this era frequently, I learned many things I didn’t know and that have given me a deeper understading of where I live and the realities of WWII in Berlin. Jason is a great and charismatic guide and I recommend anyone to take a tour with him!”

“A passionate and informed retelling of the Battle of Berlin at the original sites, brought vividly to life by the „then & now“ photos the guide showed us. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to truly grasp the final days of the war! ” Giles Schumm
